Hidely Ho, there’s a Ned Flanders-themed metal band coming to town

Time for some headbanging, neighborinos.

Okilly Dokilly, the worlds (as far as we know) only Ned Flanders-inspired metal band is coming to Cleveland. The band has committed to the Flanders-chic look in concerts, playing in matching green sweaters, round glasses and various takes on the iconic Ned Flanders mustache.

They call their style “Netal”, and play a trashing metal with guttural vocals, song titles like “Reneducation” and lyrics that tackle such topics as being left-handed. Band members Head Ned, Bed Ned, Dread Ned, Shred Ned and Zed Ned are known to crowd surf on inflatable pink frosted donuts during concerts.

When the band first posted their demo in 2015, they quickly racked up over 30,000 Facebook views in two weeks, proving you can never be too rich, too thin or have too much of a gimmick.

Okilly Dokilly will be playing the Beachland Ballroom (15711 Waterloo) with opening acts Playboy Manbaby and Hot Ham & Cheese on April 10th, starting at 8 pm. Tickets are $15, show is all ages.
