Step aside, green beer. This St. Patrick’s Day you can order a “Green Way”: a bowl of green Skyline Chili.
Only on March 17th (you know, St. Patrick’s Day), you can chow down on the very-hard-to-explain-to-people-if-they-aren’t-from-Ohio combination of spaghetti, chili and cheese that will sport an emerald hue.
Most famous in Cincinnati, but still legendary as a regional food, the chili recipe has remained the same since its introduction in 1949. While the Ridge Park Square location closed recently, you can still visit Skyline Chili at 5706 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst and 4127 Bridgewater Parkway, Stow.
While not expressed directly in the ad campaign, we assume the green Skyline Chili will taste the same as a regular 3-way. Dear lord, let us be right about that.
