Cleveland has some amazing places to eat, and food that’s made with love is a universal point of connection between everyone. When you eat out, be sure to support minority-owned businesses – here’s a list of some black-owned restaurants in the North East Ohio area that serve up great food everyday.

5 Points Grille – 239 Richmond Rd, Richmond Heights. Steak, seafood, fish, burgers and wings.

7 Cravings – 3101 West 25th Street, Unit 103. Soul food, including breakfast. Large fish selection, with wings and burgers.

Angie’s Soul Cafe – 7815 Carnegie Ave. Serving soul food staples for over 25 years, Angie’s specializes in baked chicken, fried pork chops and catfish.

Annie B & Earl’s Pancake House – 4017 St. Clair Ave. Hearty breakfasts plates, sandwiches, and fish platters.

Battiste and Dupree Cajun Grill – 1992 Warrensville Center Rd., South Euclid. Three-time “Taste of Cleveland” award-winner, Battiste and Dupree provides a taste of New Orleans with their etouffee, Po Boy sandwiches and cajun fried perch.

Beckham’s B&M Bar-B-Que – 3870 Lee Rd. / 21921 Miles Rd, North Randall. Open since 1958, Beckham’s serves up ribs, pulled pork, fish and all things bar-b-que (including breakfast).

Black Box Fix – 1400 East 105th Street / 25359 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst. Gourmet sandwiches with creole and cajun spins. Side standout are the “Stoner Fries”, with steak, lobster, onions, peppers, & cajun cheese.

The Boiler 65 -6410 Detroit Ave / 13957 Cedar Rd, South Euclid. Seafood bags that feature crab legs, shrimp, and other offerings with different seasoning and heat levels.

Brown’s Corner Restaurant – 14511 Miles Ave. Open from 7am to 1pm (Saturdays until 2pm), this breakfast spot has been in operation since 1985.

Cathy’s Gourmet Ice Cream Sandwiches – 401 Euclid Avenue (in the Old Arcade). Fresh-made ice cream sandwiches and toppings.

Chicago’s Home of Chicken & Waffles – 1144 Prospect Ave E. Many varieties of chicken & waffles, skillets, biscuits and gravy.

Choukouya Resto-Bar4620 Richmond Road, Warrensville Heights. African dining, with traditional and modern dishes. Lamb, steak, fish, rabbit, plantains, and root vegetable offerings.

Cleveland Biscuit Heads – 15613 Waterloo Rd. (Six Shooter Coffee) Sold at Six Shooter Coffee, you can get these biscuits and biscuit sandwiches from 7am until Noon.

CMB Soul Food – 12503 Union Ave. The “Home of the chicken & steak and potato”, this soul food establishment has breakfast, Po Boys, wings, fish and more. Their specialty are their stuffed potatoes.

The Columbo Room – 1988 Noble Rd. Bar with fresh corned beef sandwiches, shrimp, fish and other seafood.

The Crispy Chick – 5618 Woodland Ave. Chicken and biscuit sandwiches, chicken tenders, and wings.

Zanzibar Soul Fusion – 13225 Shaker Square / 627 Prospect Ave. Southern cuisine with walleye cakes, Soul Rolls, smothered steak, seafood, pasta dishes, macaroni & cheese, greens and a weekend brunch.
