GoFundMe started so Coven can break local Taco Bell “curse”

People are looking to raise $500 in order to hire a coven of witches to dispel whatever evil spirits are inhabiting the Taco Bell.

We’ve covered plenty of Taco Bell news on this site, but while most of our reporting comes from Taco Bell corporate, this story is completely grassroots.

Consider the terrible, terrible luck of Cleveland’s West 117th Taco Bell location. In 2017, a would-be robber was shot by employees when attempting to rob the location. This week, an out-of-control car drove into the front entrance doors, leaving the restaurant boarded-up.

That’s one bad incident too many for some Cleveland residents. Local organizer Samantha Urbank is starting a public fundraiser through website GoFundMe, raising money to, as she puts it: “break the curse”.

Urbank is looking to raise $500 in order to hire a coven of witches to dispel whatever evil spirits are inhabiting the Taco Bell. No break-down is given as to how $500 is the required amount for such a task, but Urbank promises that if the coven charges more then that figure, she’ll find a “more bargain-basement type of magical group”. If more is raised, smudge sticks will be purchased for employees, so they can help cleanse the establishment.

You can check out if the goal is being met on the groups GoFundMe page.
