Located in the Shoreway Building (1200 W. 76th), Good Company is aiming to be what it would be like to have the Ace Hotel run a sports bar: basic bar food with fresh ingredients and unique twists.
A deep space with a full-windowed wall, the look of Good Company is bright and simple, with pine tabletops and booths offset with simple metal fixtures.
Everything but the ketchup and mustard is made from scratch. The menu boasts: “We make all bread, buns, veggie patties, ice cream, shakes and sauces in house.”
The flavors are as basic or adventurous as you want to get. You can order your chicken wings with classic buffalo sauce, or venture outside of the norm with a coconut orange lime option.
The Good Boi Burger is two Angus beef patties, griddled onion, white American cheese, pickle, lettuce and special sauce on a poppy seed milk bun. Think of it as an elevated Big Mac, without the filler bread.
The fries may be small, but they are mighty. All-natural potatoes from a farm in Kinsman give provide a classic side.
If you want the potato without the fryer, you can always opt for a side of curried potato salad.
These three tastemakers are about to be among Good Company’s first official tasters.
