Learn how to shuck an oyster from a pro

Adam Smith was once named the "fastest oyster shucker in Cleveland", and he'll teach you the tips on how to find, shuck (and eat) great oysters.

Adam Smith, a man once named the “fastest oyster shucker in Cleveland” at the Stone Mad “oysterfest” competition, now takes his skill on the road. Operating his own traveling oyster-shucking and serving business, called “CLE on the Half-Shell“, Smith is a pro when it comes to all things oyster.

He kindly showed us how to find, shuck (and eat) fresh oysters without fear, mess or bodily harm in the video above. If you are looking to enjoy some oysters at home and test your own skills, here are some great seafood retail locations in Cleveland that pride themselves on the freshest catches.
