Molly Fitzpatrick creates bold and colorful textiles with her company, Dittohouse. Her drive has given her national recognition, and has her sights set on global collaboration.
Molly Fitzpatrick is the owner of Dittohouse, a home textile brand with a look that is easy to identify: bold color and design that vibrates with energy.
The name comes from the idea of a repeating design, or a “ditto” – and creations meant for the home…put them together, and you get: “Dittohouse”.
The Cleveland-based textile designer works from home, with her husband and two children, collaborating with textile companies who turn her designs into reality, as well as licensing her creations to vendors. Currently, her products can be seen in stores such as CB2 in Chicago, and the MoMA Design Store in New York City.
While her previous collaborations with textile manufacturers have been based in America, Fitzpatrick is realizing her dreams of working on a global scale. Her latest venture is a joint partnership with Trama Textiles in Argentina, a group of female artists with hundreds of years of combined cultural and practical history in weaving.
