Yes, you still have time to catch a clambake in Cleveland this October

You know it’s Fall in NorthEast Ohio when the clambakes are in full swing. Don’t stress if you haven’t gotten to one yet (or you can’t get enough of them), there are still plenty of great ongoing or special event bakes still through the month of October & November.

Here’s a list of some delicious destinations you need to hit up before the leaves start falling.


Blue Canyon Kitchen and Tavern

4-6:30 p.m. Sundays, until Nov. 17

Overlooking a beautiful vista, the Blue Canyon Kitchen and Tavern’s has a massive clambake every Sunday from now until Nov. 17. The meal includes a dozen clams and endless (endless!) portions of clam chowder, roasted chicken with apple bourbon glaze, salad, garlic green beans, chicken, potatoes and corn on the cob for $32, $14.95 for children ages eight through 12, and $8.95 for children who are three to eight years old. Reservations are required.

The Cabin of Willowick

5-10 p.m. Oct. 19 & 26

The Cabin of Willowick’s annual clambake returns on Saturdays until Oct. 26. Choose from chicken ($29), steak ($42) and lobster ($53). Each bake includes clam broth, mussels and clams, clam chowder, corn, baked or sweet potato, salad and apple cobbler.

Carrie Cerino’s

Fridays and Sundays until Oct. 27.

A clambake dinner option will be available at the Carrie Cerino’s restaurant every Friday and Sunday evening until the end of October. The dinners include a cup of chowder, a dozen top neck clams, a choice of potato or sweet corn and New York strip steak ($35.95) or half a roasted chicken ($28.95).

Don’s Lighthouse Grille and Don’s Pomeroy House

Serving every night until Oct. 26

Both Don’s locations will serve up clambakes until Oct. 26. The meals cost is $35 for a chicken clambake, which will serve up half of a roasted chicken, clams, corn and potatoes, as well as the $45 lobster clambake, which includes a full lobster, clams, corn and potatoes.

Fisher’s American Tavern

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through October.

This tavern’s clambake includes a dozen clams, a half roasted chicken, corn on the cob, sweet or baked potato, clam broth, New England clam chowder, and a roll with cinnamon butter for $29.95. (Extra dozen for $12) They also have a New York strip steak bake for $35.95 and a clamless chicken bake for $19.95.

Grumpy’s Café

11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays, 4-10 p.m. Saturdays all of October.

Grumpy’s Cafe serves clambakes every Friday and Saturday in October. The bakes will include a dozen middleneck clams, mesquite-baked half chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, Southwest corn, soup or salad and bread for $26. An additional dozen clams can be added for $10.

Sokolowski’s University Inn

4-9 p.m. on Saturdays, until Oct 26

The beloved and critically lauded Tremont restaurant Sokolowski’s is serving clambakes from 4-9 p.m. every Saturday in October. Choose from a half baked chicken ($35) or 12-ounce New York strip steak ($40). Every bake comes with a dozen clams, clam broth, New England clam chowder, baked candied yams or red-skin potatoes, sweet corn, salad bar, garlic toast and dessert.

Stancato’s Italian Restaurant

4-9 p.m., Saturdays through Oct. 26

A dish of a dozen clams id coupled with a buffet that includes chicken, potatoes, mussels, sausage and peppers, corn and pasta at Stancato’s Italian Restaurant clambakes. The Parma restaurant serves the whole meal up for $26.99.

Tinkers Creek Road Tavern

Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until Oct. 26

This waterside restaurant hosts clambakes every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through Oct. 26. The $20.45 clam dinner includes a dozen middleneck clams, New England clam chowder, mashed sweet potatoes and corn on the cob. You can also add a half roasted chicken ($27.45), half slab of house-smoked ribs ($31.45) or a 12-ounce New York strip steak ($34.45).

6-8 p.m., Oct. 19

Avon Lake’s John Christ Winery hosts its final clambake of the season on Oct. 19.  Tuck into a dozen clams, oven-roasted half chicken, broth, chowder, white and sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, a salad, rolls and dessert for $30.

Emerald Necklace Marina

3-7 p.m., Oct. 19 and Oct. 20

Get back to nature with the Cleveland Metroparks-hosted clambake at the Emerald Necklace Marina Oct. 19-20. The $28 bake includes a dozen steamed clams, a cup of clam chowder, half of a chicken, sweet potato and corn on the cob.

1500 Cleveland Metro Park Dr., Lakewood

Tavern Of Independence

12 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 19; 12 p.m. Oct. 20

It’s a seafood extravaganza at the Tavern Of Independence. One clambake ticket includes one pound of clams, a dozen mussels and a dozen shrimp, along with various sides. Tickets can be pre-ordered for $28.95. Tickets purchased on the day of the event are $34.95.

Rock Creek Kitchen and Bar

2-7 p.m., Oct. 20

Rock Creek Kitchen and Bar has been hosting its clambake every fall for more than a decade. Customers can taste two dozen clams, sweet potato, corn on the cob, clam chowder, various appetizers and chicken ($36) or strip steak ($40) at the restaurant on Oct. 20.

1-8 p.m., Oct. 20

This season marks the 7th clambake Severino’s Restaurant & Lounge has hosted. The event will include pizza, shrimp and linguini with clam sauce, along with a dozen middleneck clams, clam broth, clam chowder, yam and potato, corn and chicken ($28) or steak ($35).

Head over to Hingetown for a clambake at Jukebox bar, where you can listen to the restaurant’s famous aways-rotating jukebox selections. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 day-of-bake, and bakes include clams, kielbasa, chicken thigh, corn, red potato, onion,  herb butter & baguette. Platform Beer Co.’s “Yammy Yammy” will be on draft for $5 w/ pint glasses available to take home!

Sibling Revelry Brewery

1-4 p.m., Sept. 29; 4-7:30 p.m., Oct. 27

Martin’s Deli takes over the taproom of Sibling Revelry Brewery for their clambake on Oct. 27. Options will include a whole bake ($23) with a dozen middleneck clams, half roasted chicken, local corn on the cob, steamed sweet potatoes and dinner roll. Or choose a chicken bake ($13) with half a roasted chicken, local corn, steamed sweet potatoes and roll. A dozen clams can be ordered for $12. New England-style clam chowder is also available.
